Very overwhelmed by the last visit. My puppy was scheduled for vaccinations(distemper and leptospirosis). The doctor and vet tech examined the dog, did the vaccines and that was it. I end up with a bill for $216 ( 2 vaccines at $62 and $92 for the physical exam!!!). As far as I know the doctor is required to take a temperature and do a mucosal, eye, etc. exam before vaccinating and it took maybe 3 min. Of course I refused to pay for it at the cash register because it is pure robbery! The receptionist said that the doctor did a consultation but it was not true. I was offered post vaccine questions and asked if I should feed him 4 times a day until he was three months old or switch to 3 times. To which I received no specific information, this was not a professional opinion, if the doctor thought this was a consultation she could charge $90+ for, she should be very ashamed. The doctor never went to the front desk to explain the situation. I assume this is a typical VCA scam scheme, no one argued with me on the reception, I left after paying for my vaccines and won't be back.

the staff here are all perfectly nice and the care is good, but there are some things about the place that don’t seem well thought out. every time i’ve been here they’ve had very loud rock and pop music playing in the waiting room. they have two relatively large speakers that are parallel with the chairs where clients sit with their pets so the music is just blasting into the animal’s ears. most cats and a lot of dogs are incredibly sensitive to noise so it just feels inappropriate. i think if a vet office really feels the need to have music for whatever reason, maybe something like a very quiet and subtle jazz would be more suitable. i’d be horrified if i walked into a vet’s office to, god forbid, put my cat to sleep, and have to listen to peppy rock and pop music while i'm dealing with one of the most difficult moments of my life. that’s really all i’ve been able to think about during the moments i’ve spent in this waiting room and i feel for anyone who has had to have this experience. if anything they could at least put the speakers behind the desk rather than right by the chairs where clients are sitting with their animals.

Dr. Laura Croteau is the best! She took the time to really listen to what was going on with my dog, to answer to my 1000 questions, and she explained everything clearly in terms I could understand. She is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I feel completely comfortable trusting my dog's health to her. My dog loved her and we are really happy to have found her :)
